I am trained as a physicist with a decade of experience in atmospheric science. I have a strong quantitative background that bolsters my research to build and extend large-scale numerical models of atmospheric chemistry and the data assimilation tools to combine these models with observations of the atmospheric state. I use these assimilation tools to derive an improved understanding of key variables or processes in the atmospheric system.I am also skilled at communicating the scientific concepts and ideas that lie, often under layers of abstraction, at the core of my research. I consistently present at international conferences and write research articles in high-quality disciplinary journals. I thrive in explaining ideas in atmospheric science or data assimilation techniques to my colleagues. I have received accolades and positive evaluations for my teaching across a number of roles, from laboratory demonstrator to tutorial leader to primary course instructor.
