Pacific Catastrophe Risk and Financing Initiative II Project (PCRAFI II), PARTneR II and FIT Projects. The PCRAFI II project implemented in 5 pacific Island countries i.e., Tonga, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Cook Islands and Samoa. Activities; Assets exposure surveys, Capacity buildings and Modelling of assets - replacement costs. Project funded by World BankThe PARTneR II project is co-implemented by NIWA (New Zealand) and SPC to develop risk assessments related tools for Drought Forecasting, Inundation/SLR and Tropical Cyclone/REF for 6 Pacific Island Countries i.e. Cook Islands, Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Republic of Marshall Islands. Project funded by NZ MFATFIT Project - focus on data collection tools/KoBo/Drone/Image classification, gis mapping and building capacity with the Tonga Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry staffs. Project funded by NZ MFATMy main responsibilities includes but not limited to providing: - direction, leadership and support to the respective government ministries/departments and other stakeholders in the respective countries- Overall lead of risk related data collection survey, training and data analysis in Pacific Island Countries - Technical assistance and supporting advocacy for risk related data- Data processing and analysis- Training and capacity building, including skills transfer, survey and data management- Reporting

Main duties •In charge of all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) matters ensuring subcontractors(8-10 onsite) comply with the company's policies and standards.•Carry out machines (excavator, dump truck etc.) inspection and prestart•Lead Safety briefings/tool box meeting and inductions for new employees•Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and review JSA for different construction teams before task are carried out•Conduct incident/accident investigations and report on findings, and recommend actions and solutions•Raise safety issues and concerns to relevant authorities where necessary•Manage HSE database system ensuring site safe actions, job safety observations (JSO),and incidents records are accurately entered into the system•Meet and address community issues and queries regarding the project•Act as site supervisor in the absence of the Site Engineer & Project Manager•Write weekly and monthly HSE reports* There's was no HSE Manager or Supervisor in place, I work without/little supervision and reports to the project manager
