Role focused on the development of a protective monitoring framework for the environments subject to accreditation under the Pan-Government accreditation scheme. In addition, I directed the implementation of a “partial” level of monitoring across GCUK’s core IP infrastructure, and service layer environments (Secure DSL, Hosted IP Telephony and Customer Portal) designed to meet the specific security needs of the public sector (InfoSec Memorandum No.22).

An architectural design and engineering role. Primary focus was on mission critical systems that enabled delivery of TradingScreen’s financial services portfolio. The scope included multiple development/UAT environments and production trading nodes; located in Tokyo, London and NY.

Responsibility for building up the IT outsourcing business by gaining new customers and accounts. Routine work included:- Following up new business opportunities- Planning and preparing sales collateral - Establishing and maintaining working relationships - Communicating new product developments to prospective clients- Overseeing the development of marketing literature- Administering accounts and writing reports- Providing management with market feedback

Architectural design for a next-generation converged services network – responsible for the management of Global Crossing’s Layer 1, 2 and 3 back office platforms, which spanned 200+ cities worldwide. A self directed role involving meeting with members of internal departments and evaluating requirements against those of the business. Determined project feasibility and impact to future planned strategy.

Modifications on design of high-availability and geographically redundant infrastructure to achieve targeted 99.999% systems access. Provision of a secure operations environment for terrestrial and transoceanic OSS systems, management GUI clients located in the Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC), Cable Landing Stations, Telehouse’s, and Point of Presence facilities worldwide.

Provided product focused technical sales support to the AT&T UK sales organisation; in a pre-sales environment. Supported existing and prospective European and Global clients. Interacted at the technical and business executive levels within client organisations to develop network-oriented solutions. Emphasis on client relationship management, clear communication, excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive goal oriented approach.

Worked on a variety of key business change initiatives. I built and managed X-functional analysis teams to identify potential improvements to existing systems; and facilitated new product development which targeted the selling and sales management functions.
