Alongside co-researcher and DTU student Process and Innovation Engineering Cecilie Valentin, I performed my Final Bachelor Project at The LEGO Group. Together we researched and explored the application of circular strategies within the design organization to make the development process of LEGO sets more sustainable. We managed to achieve internal awareness on pushing sustainable transformation inside the design organization, and arranged a hand-over for longer term, continuous improvement. In general, this study contributed to the internal knowledge base on practically applying circular strategies in a multinational. It also acts as a use case for academia and changemakers in other industries wanting to push circular strategies for more sustainable business models.

Working on an product design internship project in the Sustainability Program of the Licensing & Extended Line (LEL) department. Ultimately, my goal is to explore the field of Circular Product Design and come up with a suitable idea for a final bachelor project.

Performing supportive tasks for colleagues, ranging from administrative tasks such as signing and archiving invoices, to Industrial Design related matters on graphic and UX design, such as the development of an interactive map that easily gives stakeholders insight in the building progress of a factory.

As an External Relations member, I contacted partners for knowledge, materials, and monetary support. Moreover, I actively contributed to the creation of the new mission and vision of Generation 2.0 of Team IGNITE.Other responsibilities included representing the team during activities with externals, and enhancing the overall network of Team IGNITE through personal social media content and newsletters.

I worked as Head Responsible of Design during the development of 'The Ballroom'. Responsibilities included working out the aesthetics and user experience of the light installation through performing user-testing, creating user roadmaps, and lots of co-creation with different departments within Team IGNITE. The following text elaborates on 'The Ballroom'.In 2020, a new generation of Team IGNITE was brought together. Their new mission and vision were proudly presented this year through “Ballroom,” an installation realized with the tracking infrastructure provided by the TU/e Crowdflow Research Group from prof. dr. Federico Toschi, with dr. Alessandro Corbetta. The installation is developed together with Philip Ross and his experience with designing light installations for crowds; one can recognize several aspects of his work “Gibson” (2018) in “The Ballroom”.The social cohesion between individuals in public spaces has decreased during the pandemic. Through our light artwork “Ballroom”, we from team IGNITE investigate reigniting the feeling of social cohesion amongst the GLOW visitors. We invite you to experience our modern “Ballroom” situated in “de Markthal” on the TU/e campus. This installation does not only offer the possibility of dancing with each other, but also to dance with twelve shining dance partners, embodied by beams of light, gracefully in search of a partner to dance with on the music of the student orchestra of Quadrivium.The visitors are anonymously tracked based on infrared imaging, so the light beam chooses its dance partner on the fly. This happens in real-time thanks to state-of-the-art sensing system and algorithms provided by the TU/e Crowdflow Research Group. The light beam will move around its chosen dance partner so that a dance between the two begins. The result is an actual ballroom festively filled with color, music, and dance. Enter the Ballroom and experience the long-expected feeling of connectedness again.

To research the effects of 'The Ballroom' on the social cohesion of the GLOW visitors, I set-up and conducted a qualitative study with 175 participants on their emotions, perceptions, and behavior during their interaction with the interactive light installation. The results will be published in the scientific magazine of the Intelligent Lighting Institute (ILI) of the TU/e in May 2022.

While working as an assistant tutor for the course Responsible Innovation for the World taught by Johanna Höffken, I have had the following responsibilities:- Managing the central documentation platform of the course (Canvas)- Creating schedules and plannings - Creating promotion materials (for both internal and external use)- Supporting students in impactful projects- Initiating improvements for the course- Organizing the final event
