I am responsible for coordinating, within the IUCN Biodiversity Assessment and Knowledge Team (BAKT), the application and analysis of biodiversity assessment spatial data, and their metrics, maximising the use and impact of these data and metrics both within IUCN and externally. I worked on a project to develop tools for identifying biodiversity hotspots on the island of New Guinea based on analysing information from herbarium collections from the field. The project consisted of two phases; first I digitised 2,500 herbarium specimens, adding to a central database of New Guinea flora; I then used various spatial analysis techniques.

My main role as an Aquarium Host was to provide informative and engaging public presentations and workshops for people of all ages visiting the Aquarium. This involved a high level of interaction with the audience, with in-tank SCUBA divers and colleagues.
