Thong Pham is an Associate Professor and Enterprise Fellow in Structural Engineering at UniSA STEM. His research centres on developing greener, more cost-effective and more durable structures. His research aims to improve the prefab construction technology with significant time and cost savings, while also improving work-zone safety. He has developed structures that require no formworks and less manpower on construction sites, showcasing their excellent performance against traditional structures. He is also developing rubberised concrete using waste car tyres for infrastructural applications like roadside barriers, footpaths, and play yards. His research has attracted over $750k in research income, and he has been recognized with numerous honors and awards, including being ranked in the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University and Elsevier.
