Noupoort Wind Project is an 80MW wind farm located in the Umsobomvu Municipal Area near Colesberg, in the Northern Cape of South Africa. Noupoort comprises thirty five Siemens 2.3MW turbines and was completed on schedule and on budget, making it the first wind farm to successfully achieve operation as part of the third round of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.
