About Thora Rae

Throughout my undergraduate Kinesiology degree at UBC, I was able to experience the diverse opportunities within the Health Science field. My time volunteering as a rehabilitation physical trainer at the ICORD Research Center lead me to pursue work at Base Physio as a Physical Trainer, developing exercise programs and leading one on one sessions with clients. Additionally, I was able to contribute to innovative research at BC Children's hospital, as well as UBC's Health and Physiology Lab. The experience I gained in the lab setting gave me the skills and appreciation for data analysis, dedication to consistency, and detailed work. During my senior year as a Varsity Student-Athlete, I took on the role of President of the Varsity Athlete Committee, where I used my community development and event planning skills which I had developed through working for KidSport, a non-profit organization providing sport and activity opportunities for youth. My goal is to pursue a further master's degree to become a registered Dietitian. I am currently looking for work as a Registered Kinesiologist.
