Since joining Nera in 1977, work responsibilities have evolved from the detailed design level; via 15 years of heading R&D activities of microwave antennas; to sales and marketing and then finally to product portfolio responsibility. During a period of six years, I was in addition to my main activities, the Program Manager for the IAS sensor for new Norwegian Frigates. Experience with international standardization as chairman (1977-1996) of Norsk Elektroteknisk Komite NK46 and NK46B, and as member (1994-1996) of ETSI workgroup TM4, drafting the ETSI/EN norms for microwave telecommunication antennas.Supplier identification, evaluation, selection and maintenance in areas like China, Europe, India and USA. Supporting role during QA auditing of suppliers.Product strategy and Product qualification.

This include regular visits to suppliers worldwide to monitor and approve design, production processes and general quality.
