"I'm an engineer!' This is what I say after solving any problem, big or small. An engineer can solve anything because an engineer can look at a problem and see all the options to make it possible. I am a senior at Stony Brook University studying Chemical and Molecular Engineering, with a environmental specialization and a minor in Hellenic Studies. My goal is to work in renewable energy and waste management in order to help shift the world to less damaging sources of power. On-campus I am very involved with club life, becoming the President of LGBTA's e-board during my first semester, a position I still hold. I am the founder and president of the ASTM student chapter here at Stony Brook and I am a member of other school organizations as well, including SBU AIChE and SBU Fencing, of which I am an active member. Within my free time, I have worked on the VIP research team Inclusion in Innovation, which works to improve technology for people with disabilities in order to make the world more accessible and currently am doing research on graphene oxide hydrogen storage methods. I am currently working as a Technical Marketing Intern at Koehler Instrument Company, which has led to me working alongside ASTM and NLGI as a demonstration instructor during professional training courses. I hope to continue to work in the fuels industry with a focus on Biofuels and renewable energy.
