When Oliver Thornton was two years old, he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism. Growing up alongside his older brother, who was also diagnosed with autism, Oliver faced unique challenges. However, these experiences taught him to harness his autism as a competitive advantage. With the right support, mentorship, and community, Oliver believes that individuals on the autism spectrum can thrive and lead meaningful lives.Oliver earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from CLU, where he founded and led the Delta Sigma Pi (DSP) business fraternity. Motivated by his autistic and entrepreneurial roots, Oliver founded Coding Autism, a successful coding academy specialized for individuals on the autism spectrum, preparing them for careers in technology. His entrepreneurial achievements at CLU and beyond earned him CLU’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award, multiple startup competition wins, and a speaking opportunity at TEDx focusing on autism and technology.Alongside his entrepreneurial pursuits in autism advocacy, Oliver has excelled as one of the top-producing real estate agents in the Hollywood Hills. Over seven years working with his father, Oliver co-founded Hollywood Estates, a luxury boutique brokerage specializing in Hollywood Hills real estate sales and development. Throughout his career, Oliver has facilitated over $250M in real estate transactions in Hollywood and Los Angeles and ranked in the top 1% of residential real estate sales in CA and the US in 2023. Additionally, through Thornton Development Group, he has undertaken diverse responsibilities in real estate development ranging from real estate syndication, asset disposition, construction and post certificate of occupancy refinancing, acquisition underwriting, deal sourcing, and portfolio management. Recently, Oliver founded The ASD Company with a mission to help navigate individuals with autism to meaningful careers, employment, education paths, vocational training, and lives through autism centric housing communities. Through this venture, Oliver wants to develop a multi family real estate portfolio specifically around the autism community with the ultimate goal of creating opportunities for self-independence and financial stability for adults with autism.
