When asked in elementary school what I want to be as a grown up, I said, 'I want to be a researcher'. So it was a logical step for me to study chemistry after finishing school. I've been fascinated by the many facets of science that are covered by chemistry ever since. Doing my studies at four different universities helped a lot in getting to know the different flavors and focus areas chemistry is dealing with. Knowing what has been discovered already is a prerequisite if you want to explore the unknown, so I've been looking at tools that would facilitate this kind of search since my early days at university. Only naturally, I became exposed to CAS tools early in my career. Throughout various positions at BASF, being it R&D scientist, information professional, or sales rep for specialty chemicals, having dependable information at my disposal was key to success. I was thrilled to become part of the CAS team in 2014 as a Strategic Account Manager - helping my customers to get access to the tools they need.
