Led a team of professionals providing risk oversight for Huntington’s Finance department. Developed risk and control framework using best practice risk management methodologies which drove a quarterly comprehensive risk assessment. Validated processes, developed controls and related testing strategies and reviewed and certified control tests. Represented the Finance department in management and executive level committees providing oversight of areas including SOX 404, bank-wide market and liquidity risk, operational and vendor risk, and CCAR/DFAST processes.

Built out Huntington’s Accounting Policy department with responsibility for researching, documenting, and communicating accounting issues at Huntington. Partnered with business segments to provide timely and accurate technical accounting guidance. Prepared and presented executive and Audit Committee material related to key accounting considerations. Planned, coordinated and presented at quarterly continuing professional education training sessions. Reviewed and provided feedback on SEC filings and assisted with the responses to SEC comment letters.
