Since 2002, I have been coaching caring parents who are seeking to break the cycle, and connect effectively with their children. I help parents transform their parenting and their families...Some parents are frustrated, having 'tried everything' and still find patterns repeating that they vowed to avoid. Some are struggling more than they want to be, some with specific ages, or just one or two of their kids. Some just want the close and happy family of their dreams, and they are convinced they can find the key if they just keep looking...I work with parents from all backgrounds (and continents, except Antarctica) in families of every possible variety, who have one thing in common: they are seeking a better way, and moving away from modern, command-and-control parenting. They are convinced there is a more peaceful way ~ and they're right. Children don't need to be controlled by their parents, anymore than employees need to be micromanaged by their supervisors. One thing I've learned in all these years is that 'in a child's time' is the right time for them to learn and meet every 'milestone.' When they seem 'behind' in some area, it's usually because they're busy doing something else they're 'early' for, or simply not developmentally ready for it yet. One thing I've learned in all these years is that all parents want the best for their children, all parents love their children ~ and some of them don't have the skills or knowledge to convey that love effectively. When that lack of skills or knowledge becomes uncomfortable or frustrating, that's where I come in.
