When they seem 'behind' in some area, it's usually because they're busy doing something else they're 'early' for, or simply not developmentally ready for it yet. One thing I've learned in all these years is that all parents want the best for their children, all parents love their children ~ and some of them don't have the skills or knowledge to convey that love effectively.
