Built and managed the IT staff, selected contractors and vendors, and determined the annual IT budget.● Lead project management for the acquisition of Energy Resources Technology GOM from Helix Energy Solutions. Integrated the acquired assets, including Active Directory domains, servers, applications and offshore VoIP and SCADA systems. Moved all Talos and ERT office personnel from separate offices to a new building over a single weekend with zero effective downtime of all core IT services.● Planned and directed the integration of systems on offshore platforms acquired from Stone Energy, including a complete network overhaul and satellite communications upgrade on the HP-1 floating production vessel.● Moved offshore platforms from low bandwidth, high latency satellite communications to mixed WiMAX and satellite, dramatically improving throughput and VoIP performance without a proportional increase in cost.● Architected and directed a move from on-site to off-site datacenters, including redundant and highly available hardware, VDI, WAN links, telephony and backups with proven hot failover, survivability up to the loss of an entire datacenter, and business continuity with the complete loss of the corporate offices. Moved a subset of KINGDOM and Landmark seismic interpretation servers and workstations to virtualized servers to support remote workers and disaster recovery, which also dramatically improved workstation performance.
