I have more than 12 years of experience as a Lecturer in the Mechanical and Mechatronic department. I have been involved in various roles at tertiary institutions which include curriculum development and consultation. Over the past years I have done some special training on Ships and Related Functions: Marine Engineering & Naval Architecture which included HVAC systems, Electro-mechanical systems which include Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electro-pneumatics, Drives, PLC, Networking (Profibus), Microcontroller using C and Assembly languages. I also taught myself the basics of Data Analytics using Python, Structured Query Language (SQL). I worked for 9 months as a Trainee Instrumentation Technician at PBA Electrical in Killarney Gardens and 2 and half years in Tongaat Hullet as an assistant Boiler maker. I am registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Candidate Technologist. I have strong 3D CAD draughting and modeling skills coupled with Project Management which I implement when supervising students and I have toughed Engineering Project Management subject at BTech level in the Mechatronic Engineering program. My interest is to be in industry where I can gain more experience relevant to my qualifications.
