The film is set to be directed by Tom Shadyac, who directed feature films “Ace Ventura,” “Bruce Almighty,” and the documentary “I Am” and will be produced by Amy Baer’s development fund Gidden Media, and Rawat and Monica Levinson from ShivHans Pictures.

Controversial Broadway Drama Testament of Mary Reconceptualized An industry reading of a re-conceptualization of Colm Tóibín's The Testament of Mary, the one-woman play that ran 27 previews and 16 regular performances on Broadway in spring 2013, will be presented Oct. 1.Conceived and directed by Michael Rader, the reading will feature five different women sharing the title role of Mary, each representing how different cultures around the world view her.Tony winner Adriane Lenox will be joined by Lynn Cohen, Jill Paice, Elizabeth Kemp and Thursday Farrar.
