Customer and Client Relationship Management• Facilitate multidisciplinary teams to contribute towards achieving a set objective. • Effective development and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans throughout project planning and execution.• Enable effective process handover through communication and change management.• Develop solution with end user in mind and allow for feedback throughout development.Financial Modelling: Evaluate business case for equipment replacement at Central Workshop.• Use of economic models in financial modelling to determine financial feasibility of projects.• Use relevant financial indicators such as Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV) and payback period calculations to justify a project.• Incorporate the probability and impact of identified project risk in cost-benefit evaluation.

Business Performance, Operations and Continuous Improvement• Perform Business Process Analysis when defining problems to be solved and identifying possible wastes.• Develop PowerBI reports for data visualizations of business KPI measurements against the set targets, used to identify business improvement areas. • Perform SCRUM Master duties in the development and implementation of digital solutions in the mining environment.• Translate business requirements into design specifications for digital products.• Roll-out digital solution along with related change management activities; and conduct user acceptance testing.• Manage, track and report on project budget and resources.Simulation Modelling: Develop model to predict labour demand.• Develop Monte-Carlo simulation from first principles to predict labour demand for dimensioning of skills pool.• Gathering, cleaning and statistical analysis of correct datasets using probability distributions• Application of model verification and validation methods including debugging of models.• Interpret data, draw conclusion after analysis and communicate insights.Supply Chain: Optimisation project for spares management• Knowledge of plant operations/supply chain/mine process in order to analyse data accurately.• Apply lean manufacturing principles in structured methodology to optimize the management of equipment spares • Apply inventory management models to determine stocking strategy for spares with the objective to minimize cost of inventory while maximizing spares availability.• Exposure to SAP MRP (Material Requirement Planning).Engineering Logistics (Asset maintenance): Life-cycle Cost Analysis for Sandvik Continuous Miner• Perform machine-life-cycle analysis and use outcome to recommend overhaul or renewal of the equipment.• Sustainably increase productivity while reducing cost, through total cost of ownership analysis.
