• Researches, analyzes, and prepares reports (e.g. classification/compensation changes, retirement projections, salary surveys) including cost projections for Executive Management review• Oversees the internal promotion process of established career ladders (entry, working, advanced, senior)• Coordinates placement of temp staff with vendors for administrative/clerical roles • Reviews/approves transfer requests due to workload needs• Sources, recruits, and assists with the selection process for a variety of disciplines (civil engineering, construction, maintenance, legal, administrative/clerical, financial) at technical, professional, supervisory, managerial, and senior/executive levels; Recruitment strategies include using different ATS and reviewing the analytics• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with hiring managers, Department Executives and Senior leadership, and Subject Matter Experts when acquiring talent, engaging in special projects statewide (e.g. re-organizations), and implementing solutions for position management • Researches market data and recommends competitive salaries to attract and retain talent• Supervises employees in the HR Data, Analytics, Process Mapping/Improvement, and Special Projects unit• Attends onsite/offsite training, conferences (SHRM), webinars, and meetings (on-site and virtual) for career development purposes, trending or up-and-coming best practices, and changes related to the Department (legislation and funding), HR policies, procedures, classification, compensation, and other general HR-related issues• Proficiently utilizes computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Access), Microsoft Teams, Skype, VISIO, HRIS (Oracle PeopleSoft HCM), Sharepoint
