Tom Walsh is a the Managing Director of Development and Construction Solutions for Advance Realty Investors. Prior to joining Advance, Tom was a Principal and Managing Director of Project Management for Avison Young’s New Jersey, New York and Boston offices. In this role Mr. Walsh oversaw the firm’s Project Management, Development Management and Construction Services. Under his leadership the 3 offices grew to over 60 people and completed over 150 projects per year with an aggregate construction value in excess of $300 million per year. Significant project management assignments completed during this timeframe include a 270,000 sf build to suit world headquarters for Commvault, a 170,000 sf headquarters buildout for Lowenstein Sandler and a 350,000 sf build to suit in Ohio for Riddell. Significant construction management assignments include the complete reconstruction and a 40,000 sf addition to the USGA’s headquarters and an 8 story 150 room full service hotel in Montclair. While at Avison Young Mr. Walsh chaired the firms project management affinity group. This group brought together Avison Young’s project management leaders throughout the world to share best practices. Prior to Avison Young Mr. Walsh was a Partner and Managing Director of The Walsh Company, which was acquired by Avison Young in 2012.
