Sydney Metro Northwest - Junior EngineerResponsible for the delivery of Sydney Metro Northwest viaduct rail install and ballasted track. Managing QA documents, cost reporting for all associated. Finalised commissioning and testing of the track in readiness for trains testing/hand over to client.Scope includes: - 1,045 flash butt welds- 9.3kms of type 1 track slab rail install on the viaduct "skytrain"- 4 x 1 in 18.5 R800 turnouts- 1 x 1 in 8.25 R160 turnout- 3 x 1 in 6.6 R160 turnouts- 1 in 9 R190 scissor crossover- 3km of plainline track- Installation of noise attenuation on the viaduct (including parapet noise tiles, four foot noise tiles and rail dampers)

Sydney Water project, involving theremediation and scaling of a rock face. Responsible for all management on site of theproject, including:• The overall security, health and safety of the project, team members,subcontractors and general public.• Supervising the team, people, materials and the overall department of thesite.• The constant liaising and communication between contractors, subcontractorsand the site manager.• Ensuring the project was carried out correctly, safely and to high standards.

University Of Western Sydney

I was the team leader and was working in collaboration with my supervisor Dr Olivia Mirza and Transport for NSW, as apart of my final year project. The project scope of work required me to analyse the effect of wheel loading on a railway bridge, caused by wheel-rail contact. The exisiting railway bridge, the Minnamurra Railway Bridge, is situated in Kiama, NSW. I was required to model 6 spans of the bridge on a FEM program, ABAQUS CAE with real configurations, actual properties and geometrics.Highlighted Achievements:• Achieved a High Distinction mark for my project.• Strong finite element modelling skills in ABAQUS.• Achieved a successful model and simulation.• The first team to achieve real geometric railhead model design in this type of research.• Previous teams in the past have only modelled one span, whereas we modelled the full 6 spans. • The project was very complex, where I was required to use my innovation and structural understanding to simplify the internal bracings. • Developed a strong understanding of locomotives, bridges and steel and concrete properties.

By working closely with the Managing Director and Project Engineer, I was responsible for all tendering stages. My role as an intern allowed me to frequently interact with clients, subcontractors and principals, report writing and research for tenders. In addition, I was lead on tenders which required me to delegate and micromanage fellow interns and attend site meetings. Highlighted accomplishments: • Developed strong client relationships through frequent liaising with subcontractors throughout all projects during the tendering phase.• Measured bill of quantities with direct focus on materials and volumes of bulk earthworks. • Assisting in the preparation of traffic management plans for local councils. • Attending on-site meetings with clients, project managers and subcontractors.• Managed and redeveloped the company's tender templates, including assessing SWMS and ITP's for civil work projects, by working closely with the Managing Director and Project Engineer.
