Involved noteably in projects of National Load Despatch Centre, India, Renewable Energy Management Centres of Karnataka, T.Nadu, AP, SR POSOCO. and REMC NLDC. Key role in projects of Tata Power SCADA EMS, CESC Kolkatta, SCADA DMS, Adani Power SCADA DMS, Bhutan Power Corporations SCADA DMS at Thimpu city.

Took over as Chief Engineer SLDC. Drafted a road map for support systems for SLDC for the next 5 years, covering SCADA EMS upgradation, VSAT upgradation, OPGW network on 66 kV and upwards to cover the entire Grid of Karnataka, SAMAST and Interface point metering

Lead the SCADA and Telecommunication team in KPTCL to plan, design and maitain Power line carriers, carrier protection systems, VSAT communication and SCADA EMS systems in KPTCL and ESCOMs of Karnataka. Developed and trained and built a team of skillful Engineers and Engineering Managers to maintain the said systems. Also explored possiblity of KPTCL consultancy in Power sector in India. Lead the team to successful audit carrier protection systems in North India based on CEAs requirements

• Planned & design major adaptation of Sub-station equipment & upgradation of SCADA system for Total remote operation of 6 Nos of 66 kV Sub-stations in Bangalore. – Reduced manpower, introduced performance monitoring of equipment, improved operations due to real time monitoring at all levels & & brought in belief in automation• Responsible for KPTCL receiving the BEST CUSTOMER AWARD for the year 2009 from CPRI for Project Management.• Responsible in obtaining the first ever work award for KPTCL to conduct Power line carrier communication & protection audit for Delhi Transmission Limited & Rajasthan Vidhuth power in association with CPRI bringing in revenue for KPTCL with the available resources• Working modalities to bag Consultancy services for setting up VSAT & SCADA network for 132 kV network at Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd – First ever consultancy project for KPTCL. This has been possible due to the successful implementation of the Integrated Extended SCADA project, which has been specifically designed to cater to the functional requirements of a Transmission Utility.• Initiated steps to tie up with CPRI for SCADA consultancy for projects undertaken by CPRI.• Designed, developed and implemented Special Protection Scheme in the Grid using SCADA RTU, Programmable Logic controllers, Protection couplers and Power Line carriers for Grid Security• Integrated all major makes of Sub-station Automation Systems to the KPTCL SCADA system - First by any Transmission Utility.• Presented a report on the Integrated Extended SCADA Project detailing the Implementation process, Challenges faced & Lessons learnt to the City Managers Association of Karnataka, a NGO associated with the Department of Urban Development, Government of Karnataka & ensured the Project was shortlisted as one of the 12 most successful projects in Karnataka.• Trainer for SCADA & Power Line carrier Communication. – Trained about 400 Engineers in KPTCL & ESCOMs.

• As Key Design Team member involved in drafting Technical Specification for SCADA & VSAT network with Integrated functions of Energy Billing, Energy Audit & Availability Based Tariff covering 1000 stations spanning over Generation, Transmission & Distribution network of Karnataka which has given the expertise to plan & design SCADA networks for any Transmission Utility.• Developed an in house team for SCADA Project implementation & SCADA system maintenance due to which the extensive project was implemented successfully.• Responsible for approvals of all design drawings & Technical evaluation of SCADA & VSAT network of KPTCL & for managing KPTCL SCADA & Communication team wing of 24 Engineers for execution of the SCADA network.• Designed & developed specific MIS reports for Load Management due to which feeder performance & Quality of Power supply in the entire State can be monitored at all levels – Reduction in interruption & early restoration due to transparency, analysis for corrective action on feeders.• Carried out Factory Acceptance Tests for EMS software covering Network Analysis, State Estimator, Operator Training Simulator & other functions at ABB, Sweden.• Carried out Factory Acceptance tests of Large Video screens at the works of M/s Barco at Germany & Belgium.• Visited Transmission & Distribution company in Belgium to discuss issues concerning EMS & remote operation of Sub-stations.• Coordinated & Supervised Execution KPTCL SCADA project – The Single largest SCADA network in the World comprising of 1000 nodes & 16 Control Centres.
