Paul de Ruiter Architects believes in the future. Sustainable technology and aesthetics go hand in hand. After all, appreciating the beauty of buildings is just as important as energy efficiency or the health of an indoor climate.

As Principal Architect at KM8, I was responsible for designing, engineering, managing and overseeing the construction of a residence self-build lot in Zeeburg, Amsterdam (NL), as well as the interior design and engineering of an apartment on Zeeburgereiland and the transformation of the Olympia Headquarters in Hilversum (NL) in collaboration with VURB Architecture.

The renowned international architecture firm UNStudio specializes in architecture, interior architecture, product design, urban development and infrastructural projects. UNStudio’s mission is to design for lasting impact and contribute to the societal challenges of urbanisation, climate change, ageing populations and socioeconomic inequality. UNStudio was founded in 1988 by Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos. In my role as Architect, I worked on the design and engineering of the Doha Metro Stations in Qatar (UAE), the transformation of the Fellenoord Offices in Eindhoven (NL), the engineering of the interfaculty building Echo at the TU Delft (NL) and the engineering of the mixed-use G5 residential towers in Songdo Dong (KR).

AHH is an well-known, all-round architectural office with a comprehensive portfolio that ranges from urban planning, housing, office, cultural, and educational buildings to fully detailed interior design. The office operates from the central idea that good design creates space in which the user feels welcome and at home, respected and challenged. The office was founded by Herman Hertzberger in 1958. In my role as Architect and Engineer I was responsible for the technical engineering of the Markant Theatre and Event Accommodation in Uden (NL) and the design of the Kogeka Campus in Geel (BE).

TEKTON Architekten is active in the fields of designing, developing and overseeing residential, commercial, and urban projects. TEKTON gravitates towards multifunctional building projects because they create meaningful connections between architecture, urbanism and landscape. In my role as Architect, I worked on the IJside residential building complex in Amsterdam (NL) and the Eco-Pavilion in Xian (CN), among other things.
