I am a 3D designer with a vision impairment. I have always been interested in science and geometry. During high school, I was introduced to the concept of 3D printing and developed a passion for emerging technology such as artificial intelligence. In the spring of 2017, I purchased my own 3D printer. I have worked with several CAD suites including, but not limited to, Solidworks, Inventor, and AutoCAD. While in high school, I worked in my school’s IT department and helped teach science to the younger grades. I have been to Space Camp twice and attended the American Astronautical Society’s annual meeting in 2016. At the end of 2016 I spoke at the STEM Career Showcase for Students with Disabilities. I has been featured in several news articles and has been a cover story for Modern Machine Shop, a major trade magazine. I am fascinated by advanced technologies and am an advocate for artificial intelligence. During my free time, I enjoys drawing up 3D models of CNC machine tools, coming up with new ideas for technology, and creating science fiction worlds and concepts. I am working on a machine shop themed coloring book and playset to help get kids excited about advanced manufacturing.
