About Tiago Sequeira
I am an experienced System, Software, Information Security Architect and Engineer with a strong background in Cybersecurity and Intelligence roles. My expertise lies in the research and development, as well as the integration, of complex and secure distributed systems within Security Operations Center (SOC) environments. I have successfully managed and executed various operations and engineering roles across telecommunications, on-premises, and cloud systems.My capabilities in technical coordination, leadership, and management are evidenced by contributions to the architecture and development of critical cybersecurity projects.My research interests are focused on the emerging fields of cyber resilience, intelligence, deception and the application of artificial intelligence to cyber defense. This includes the use of AI (GAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate multiple threat intelligence use cases and workflows. I have a particular interest in cyber threat intelligence strategy, adversary tradecraft, threat-informed and intelligence-driven defense approach. My specialization extends to research on Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), cyber warfare, human intelligence (HUMINT), geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), open-source intelligence (OSINT), and threat intelligence-driven hunting activities.In addition to my core focus areas, I have recently expanded my expertise to include Automotive and Aerospace cybersecurity as well the interest in the Blockchain Technology studies. I am currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Data Science and advanced studies in Defense and Intelligence.I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science, with a focus on Information Systems and Cybersecurity, from the University of Lisbon (FCUL).Outside of my professional work, I am passionate about spending quality time with my family, exploring new destinations, and immersing myself in reading and learning new things. I also enjoy practicing martial arts, which helps me stay focused and disciplined in all aspects of life.
