Leading the Strategic Data team at CRH, our mission is to create end-to-end technological solutions that enhance our data analysis capabilities for global strategic decisions. Positioned within the corporate strategy team, my role is to drive innovation and ensure data-driven insights guide our company's strategic direction.Our team includes four key areas:- Data Governance: Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across all data-related processes.- Data Engineering: Building and maintaining the pipelines for efficient data collection, storage, and transformation.- Data Analysis: Analyzing complex datasets to extract actionable insights and inform strategic business decisions.- Product Management: Overseeing the development and lifecycle of data products to meet business needs and drive value.Collectively, our goal is to leverage technology and data to empower better decision-making and support CRH's global operations across 28 countries.

Led the Analytics & Insights team within the Commercial Business Unit, our team includes three key areas:- Analytics, which is dedicated to analytical modeling for forecasting and business insights;- Market Intelligence, with a focus on customer behavior and competitive analysis;- Data Management, ensuring robust data governance to support our operations.Our collective goal is to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of our business, enabling us to guide the company's strategic direction.

Led a team of data scientists within the Commercial Business Unit, aligning our data strategy with organizational objectives. Through our projects, we optimized pricing and invoicing, enhancing pricing strategy and improving the annual contribution margin through micro-market analysis. We also leveraged customer data for customer retention and personalized product recommendations.

Collaborated with various large corporations across different industries, spearheading multiple data projects aimed at solving specific business challenges, resulting in enhanced efficiency, improved sales effectiveness, and substantial cost savings. I also took the lead in guiding small teams, nurturing a collaborative environment, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
