The Executive Director of AEC Unites is responsible for leading the organization's operations, strategic planning, and overall management. This position plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of AEC Unites, which is to promote inclusion and equity of Black talent and Black-owned businesses within the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and oversees the organization's programs and resources.

• Develop and implement outreach initiatives designed to strengthen the association and its chapters’ IDE strategy, including strategic planning, organizational alignment and presenting workshops on the business case for IDE• Provide strategic and resource guidance as a consultant for ABC member companies and 68 chapters • Lead budget management for all IDE initiatives and programs, including the preparation, forecasting and monitoring of financial planning management activities • Advise key stakeholders across the association, as well as inform and influence senior leadership on the adoption and championship of IDE efforts • Collaborate with ABC’s workforce development, human resources, safety and political advocacy stakeholders to develop and execute programs and policies that achieve the association’s strategic goals • Develop, market and oversee all program and project initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert for ABC’s IDE Grant program, IDE Academy, National IDE Excellence Awards Program and IDE Summit • Develop best practice industry resources related to workforce development, supplier diversity, community engagement and talent management • Serve as leader, mentor and training partner in support of skilled trades education with D.C.’s Academy of Construction and Design, including the development and facilitation of workplace readiness curriculum • Track, analyze and identify IDE performance metrics to determine gaps and opportunities within the industry • Collaborate with committee volunteer leadership to set strategic direction, advance the committee’s agenda, and ensure programs and/or activities are planned and implemented according to the committee’s duties • Collaborate with Memorandum of Understanding partners to advance the construction industry’s IDE efforts, including the Women Construction Owners and Executives, National Minority Contractor Association and United States Pan-Asian Chamber of Commerce

• Exceeded targeted non-dues revenue from business partnership program by creating and executing impactful print and digital marketing campaigns • Developed short- and long-range revenue goals, implemented a plan to meet those goals and regularly shared progress against goals with senior leaders • Served as the day-to-day liaison with more than 20 business partners to ensure all campaign deliverables were met within established guidelines deadlines and regularly provided status reports and feedback on interactions with clients • Led development and oversaw design and production of all marketing collateral to ensure branding compliance, quality and effective messaging • Partnered with ABC’s IT team to develop search engine optimization strategies, review analytics data and ensure consistency of branding and messaging across digital platforms as it relates to ABC business partners

• Developed and managed TIA’s member sales and retention efforts, as well as the association’s training and coaching services • Managed consistent and compelling marketing campaigns that generated new memberships as well as sales of training products and consulting services • Directed the use of customer relationship software Salesforce and managed TIA’s Salesforce account • Served as liaison to association’s Membership, Membership Review and Young Executive Committees

• Developed and managed the member experience, including recruitment, membership processing, database management and member services including non-dues revenue • Launched Young Executive Networking Mixers in six states • Managed annual membership dues billing of $1.9 million
