As a Storeperson for Bidfood, I am required to pick and pack orders, maintain stock levels, report damages and accidents, ensure great customer service, teach new employees, work Bidfood's software system and ensure food safety and quality assurance with every order. I have learnt a number of skills that I believe are very valuable in the workplace including but not limited to: managing my time to get orders out on time, maintaining good relationships with co-workers and supervisors, managing conflict and de-escalating heated situations, being reliable and on time for every shift while being flexible with shift changes and working extra hours when we are behind.

As a self-employed math tutor, I am required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills as I must communicate to both parents and students on a regular basis. It’s essential for me to develop and maintain great relationships with students and parents as well as be able to explain complex mathematic problems in such a way that my students can understand. Often, tutoring sessions will be rescheduled or moved around, so it is critical for me to be incredibly flexible and have great time management skills.
