As a member of the Strathclyde Strathloop team,we competed in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. With the goal to design and build a system that supplies adequate power to the pod. Safety is a key consideration when designing the pod power system, especially when working with large lithium-ion batteries.

In addition to my time at the University of Strathclyde working on the HVDC System for power transmission, I was asked to continue working on the project during the whole year. During this period, I focused on developing a simplified VSC based HVDC system model using the power system simulation software Matlab / Simulink as well as implementing the system control and investigating the operation of the HVDC system during normal power transmission and AC fault conditions.
