As the Social Media and Marketing Manager for Texan by Nature, I build thriving digital communities that unite all Texans in conservation action.

As a Digital Content Creator for Humanity Communications Collective, I served on a dynamic creative team that brought incredible innovation to the intersection of cultural competency, digital marketing, social justice, and communications. I amplified the great work of nonprofits making strides in wildlife conservation, migrant justice, worker's rights, and environmental justice by telling compelling stories that make people take notice. As a digital content creator, I created fundraising toolkits, social media strategies, and daily content. I used tools like Airtable, Sprout Social, Canva, VEED, Slack, Asana, and GSuite to maintain social media calendars, create assets, track success, and manage paid advertising campaigns. From contributing to significant campaigns like Black Climate Week and Justice40rward to serving as a ghostwriter for newsletters, in this role, I demonstrated my passion for making a positive impact through strategic storytelling and digital advocacy.

As Recreation Supervisor, I served the City of Lewisville’s Parks and Recreation Department at Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA), a 2600-acre Nature Preserve. My duties included planning, directing, coordinating, and teaching environmental conservation education and outdoor recreation classes. I managed and executed action steps in the City's 2025 Vision strategic plan, LLELA Nature Preserve's Master Interpretive Plan, the Department's Marketing Plan, and Strategic Business Plan. For the past four years, I’ve managed a team of 5 part-time educators and 120 volunteers to deliver over 500 conservation science and recreational programs to the public. I’ve established a collaborative working environment with the ancillary Friends of LLELA non-profit group to train and recruit additional volunteers as well as facilitate public special events (virtual and in-person). 2021 - The Way Award - Kudos for exceptional service during an inclement weather event2020 - Texas Parks and Wildlife Community Outdoor Outreach Program Grant recipient for adaptive recreation projects2019 - Reevaluated our advertising outlets to adapt a digital marketing plan for LLELA programs. This resulted in a 120% increase in our reach on Google My Business and Facebook and 60% increase in first-time registrations across our program suite 2018 - The Way Award - Kudos for taking advantage of lifelong learning opportunities to help the department further outreach goals. 2018 - As a program administrator for the City’s Mayors Monarch Pledge, created the first bilingual (Spanish) pollinator conservation festival, Mariposas, in the metroplex. 300 families enjoyed this event and learned what the City and 20 other local organizations are doing to protect Texas pollinators as well as tips on what they can do in their own backyards. 2018 - NRPA Certified Parks and Recreation Professional

In this capacity, I served the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in performing community outreach to elementary school-aged children and their families in explorations of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) concepts during Family Science Night Festivals and the grant-funded GSK Science in the Summer program. I worked in a flexible tight-knit team of educators and together we set up/break down festival exhibits, facilitated free play, interpreted the science behind the games, hosted special demonstrations, and educated families on how to incorporate STEAM concepts into their everyday lives.Traveled throughout Fort Worth to deliver educational curricula to 1000 participants in the City's Summer Day Camp program. Edited curricula to accommodate audiences of different abilities and diverse backgrounds. Maintained and submitted records on demographics. Communicated complex science concepts in English and Spanish as host of the States of Matter demonstration to groups of 50-500 people.I also served as a Science in the Summer Educator for the grant-funded GSK STEM outreach program. We teach the Science of Sports to 700 5 to 13-year-old participants of the City of Fort Worth's Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camp Program.

In this capacity, I coordinated community outreach, completed special construction projects, supervised and trained volunteers, interns and park hosts, reviewed contracts and budgets in order to complete Purchase Requisition Documents, represented TPWD in regional conferences and committees, served on agency diversity committees, and served as acting supervisor in absence of senior management. As an Operations Trainee, I gained relevant experience in all aspects of park operations including management, interpretive education, administration, visitor services, maintenance, resource protection, law enforcement, natural resource management, and fiscal control. I served at the Ray Roberts Lake State Park Complex, a 30,000-acre recreational lake with a $2 million budget, 30 permanent staff, 15 overnight camping loops, 11-mile Greenbelt multi-use (hike, bike, equestrian) trailway, Dallas Off-Road Biking Association (DORBA) 42-mile hike/bike trail, 7 boat launches, and day-use park facilities (fee and free) that host nearly one million visitors a year.Organized Park Fun 101; an intro to camping outreach program for the students of the HBCU Paul Quinn College in October 2014. In this capacity, I served as an instructor of specialized procedures for 70 law enforcement agencies that participated in the Texas Uniform Crime Reporting program. In this capacity, I served as a Park Ranger (GS-5) at Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve working as part of the ProRanger San Antonio program. My duties included the daily interpretation of park resources to visitors, regular enforcement of park regulations, assisting in community outreach, and teaching visitors ecologically sound park use practices. I served Northrop Grumman Corp's Technical Services as a Senior Control Access Specialist on the "Blue Blazers" contract. In this capacity, I supervised 10 employees and network operations within the Security Communication Center at the Texas Cryptological Center and the Medina Base Security Operations Center. I also maintained a TS/SCI security clearance and gained experience with IAFIS to conduct background checks.

I served Northrop Grumman as an Access control Specialist where I controlled access to customer facilities with a variety of devices to include magnometers, alarm systems, cypher locks, and CCTV systems. In this capacity, I maintained a TS/SCI security clearance and sought out opportunities to streamline inter-agency emergency communications.
