Cyber Security Analyst
Led the development and execution of security strategies, providing direct support to business and IT teams on critical security issues across all IT domains, including data, systems, networks, and web platforms. Collaborate with management to design and implement comprehensive security measures, ensuring the protection and integrity of HISD's IT infrastructure. Monitor and enforce security compliance by preparing detailed status reports, swiftly responding to breaches, and driving continuous improvement in security posture. Develop and maintain security policies and procedures, including user log-on protocols, authentication rules, breach escalation processes, and security auditing practices. Execute security controls to thwart potential threats, safeguarding company information and e-commerce platforms from unauthorized access. Manage security profiles, investigate security violations, and implement corrective actions to reinforce security controls and policies. Administer and optimize security policies, managing access controls, maintaining firewalls, and deploying state-of-the-art encryption methods to secure routers, switches, and other network systems. Conduct in-depth research into attempted security breaches, identifying vulnerabilities and fortifying defenses to prevent future attacks. Educate IT and business teams on security best practices, providing expert consultation on user-managed systems and ensuring alignment with organizational security policies. Represent the security interests of HISD in IT projects, offering expert guidance to mitigate risks and enhance the security of new initiatives. Advise management on the potential business impacts of security threats, including theft, data destruction, and denial of access, while evaluating new products and procedures to boost operational effectiveness.
