BSc Psychology undergraduate interested in a career in clinical psychology. My passion for understanding and applying reasonings behind human behaviour stems from the desire to help my younger brother overcome unique hurdles. Following his diagnosis of ADHD, his distinctive behavioural patterns became more understood and less judged, enabling the household to work together to adapt to his differing requirements. For me, this shone a spotlight on the importance of identifying difficulties as well as taking active steps towards facilitating them and spreading awareness. My innate interest in picking apart the driving forces behind behaviour brought me to The University of Manchester, where i acquired my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I first studied the subject at GCSE level where my attention was instantly captured by the intricate workings of the mind, pushing me to continue the subject for A-Level. Personally, the continued study of psychology has developed my critical thinking skills, as both sides of each argument often have to be carefully considered without bias, which is a skill I strive to uphold in everyday life. This year, I hope to complete a part-time or volunteer role involving clinical psychology to gain real-life experience while providing a helping hand to those in need. I believe that doing so will play a huge part in developing my communicative skills, which would be highly utilised as a clinical psychologist.
