About Tibisay Hernandez, Msed

I have undergone many career transformations, giving me a wide lens and varied perspectives that shape my unique approach to training. My expertise in curriculum development, program implementation, personnel recruitment and retention, and remote learning allows me to create and innovate engaging and impactful training programs. What truly makes my facilitation stand out are my humor, passion, and authenticity.With over 15 years in education and deep expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, I have developed DEI curricula and measures to address implicit bias at personal, organizational, and cultural levels. As a certified implicit bias facilitator for the National Training Institute for Racial Equity, I train extensively on cultural responsiveness and inequity. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate at the University at Albany’s Education, Theory, and Practice program, researching the impact of cultural differences and intercultural communication styles on support structures for first-generation college students.
