Extensive experience as principal investigator, project manager and analyst utilizing a wide range of statistical methods. Contribution to projects is mainly as methodologist, sampling expert, and statistical specialist. Primary focus is on survey research methodology: design and implementation of Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) surveys, mail based surveys, web surveys and multi mode surveys. The subject areas range from education, transportation, demography, health behavior, elderly safety, security and agriculture. Strong track record in conducting survey research projects in Delaware, in the United States, Europe and most recently in China. Related activities: Serving as the director of the Survey Research Laboratory within the University of Delaware’s Center for Applied Demography & Survey Research with 40 trained professionals, serving as an external evaluator (research methodology) for the European Commission’s Research Executive Agency, co-teaching a Research Methods course, supervising undergraduate and graduate students, conducting training in research methods in the US and abroad, presentation of project results at local, national and international conferences. Client work: Working with internal and external clients to envision, develop and conduct research projects, negotiating contracts and building lasting partnerships.Technical skills: Administering the research center’s internal Hyper-V based server farm, including Oracle server, SQL server, CATI server and Active directory. Strong track record in database design, web site design, data conversion, data integration, computer programming, and statistical analysis.
