I am responsible for the management of 2 of STARRY's offices which cover mental health services for 7 counties. Team Supervisors support the STARRY FAYS, Family & Youth Services, Program by guiding, directing, and encouraging staff while also holding them accountable to agency and contract expectations. My role is essential in maintaining a healthy and positive environment with both staff and the clients served. I manage and mediate client needs and employee issues as well as potential conflicts that may arise within the office. I also oversee employee performance and implement disciplinary action, as well as praise as needed. My immediate supervisor is the Director of FAYS, and I work collaboratively with Directors, Operations, and other Team Supervisors.

Again, I have the honor of providing psychotherapy to youth between the ages of 14 and 19 as well as their families. Each client and family have different needs and desires, so I emphasize rapport building with them so as to figure out what will yield the best results. The techniques I utilize range from DBT to RCT. I am working specifically with identity development, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and mood disorder. I have decided to continue serving as a clinical pillar of my agency's EDI initiative and now am able to assist in data collection and implementation of policies that will lead to a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workspace and translate those skills to working with our underserved clientele.

At Baylor Scott & White, I provided psychotherapy services to an array of individuals. All clients are referred by Baylor Scott & White physicians which provided me the opportunity to work closely with a number of medical professionals in determining best patient care. Client care was monitored, documented, and revised via Epic. I was responsible for serving as a resource to my team and mentoring when necessary. Our team met on a daily basis to review mental health and neuropsychology institutional metrics both for our Round Rock location and the Greater Austin region.

I am proud to say that this year, I will be implementing a framework in a high school which will promote healthy relationships between teachers, faculty, staff, and students.

My primary group of focus is high at risk student athletes. With this group in particular, much flexibility in session conduction is required. Together, the student and I figure assess what their learning style is and then develop learning strategies which best work for them. The content areas that I have offered assistance in are under the umbrellas of English, Sociology, Communications, and Psychology . Also, I provided daily documentation of each student athlete's contributions and efforts after each session. Besides tutoring content, I assisted student athletes with prioritization and other organizational tasks where their coursework and athletic schedules overlapped.

As an intern, I provided CBT, person-centered, and reality therapy to children in local elementary and middle schools. For the duration of four months, I interned with the Hispanic Services Department where I provided psychoeducation and therapy to clients as young as 7 and as old as 50+ predominantly in the Spanish language. Common disorders encountered were ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Conduct Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Phobias.

I created weekly lesson plans for English Language Arts and Morals courses where I was able to engage students at an age appropriate level. Although my primary position was to serve as a teacher, I took on the role of a mentor as well due to a majority of our students coming from families involved with the Department of Social Services. This role involved me applying counseling skills and techniques to students so as to have them lead themselves to appropriate decision making.
