Appropriate resource allocation, intense and targeted professional development, school-based leadership, and the restructuring of hiring practices have proven to be key levers in the work required to turn around the organization. In addition, the development of a strategic plan has provided direction for the Board of Trustees and relative stakeholders.

Specifically, I developed strong school-based leadership teams through instructional coaches, grade-level leads, and task forces. I also worked in close collaboration with the Nevada State Public Charter School Authority to ensure the district priority goals were reflected in the mission of the school. Subsequently the school became one of the district's highest performing elementary school as well as one of the top performers in the Imagine Schools national portfolio of charter schools.
