Role | As a part of the People Team at Hootsuite, People Partners (like me!) help grow and retain high performing, culturally aligned talent; our owls. How did I fit in? I spent my day coaching leaders, supporting a high change & fast growth culture, creating people-focused HR programs and cheering on our team towards achieving exceptional results. I was embedded in the business solving complex organizational changes with specific emphasis on creating positive employee experiences. During my time at Hootsuite, I supported across department and across regions including Customer Support, Customer Success, Field Sales, Commercial Sales, Field Marketing, Inbound/Outbound Sales Development teams in locations such as Vancouver, Toronto, Mexico City and Singapore.

Role | With the mission to elevate Talent at Relic from good to great, I collaborated with the team to dig deep into our entire philosophy towards attracting, supporting, and retaining great people. It meant evaluating our tactical approaches across all Talent portfolios and looking to improve their efficiency and effectiveness. Accomplishments |• Revamped the offer and on-boarding process for all new hires • Created feedback mechanism for new employees to provide feedback on the recruitment and onboarding process• Launched a comprehensive ‘askHR’ intranet, increasing the awareness and accessibility of Talent programs • Managed employee relocation and immigration; supporting 8+ work permit and residency applications in 6 months• Supported managers in performance management efforts by advising on annual review efforts & individual concerns • Built a Relocation & Immigration Framework to clarify the organization’s role in supporting the relocation and immigration of our employees• Lead full-cycle recruitment for various technical and creative roles, successfully completing hard to fill roles within an unprecedented time frame – ie. stagnant 4-month long job opening was filled within 30 days• Identified and resolved gaps in compliance with employment standards • Evaluated, updated and/or removed Talent programs for consistency with talent management values

Role | Support the HR and leadership team at a growing technology company in creating a foundation of HR services (including; new hire orientation, payroll and benefits administration, performance management, HRIS and ATS maintenance and data analysis, recruitment support, OHS program execution, policy development, termination and personnel file management)Accomplishments |• Led the development of the HR section of the company’s first internal wiki system by creating use cases and collecting, auditing and establishing HR policies and procedures to match• Improved probationary period visibility by introducing a confidential 2-month review between HR and new hires • Improved efficiency and employee experience of our new hire on-boarding workflow by synthesizing employee information sources • Supported full-cycle recruitment from job analysis, job posting, candidate outreach, career fairs, screening, and interviewing for all student and full-time hires for 12 months (until placement of a full-time Junior Recruiter)• Led the analysis, selection and implementation of their first and current HR Information System (HRIS) and separate Applicant Tracking System (ATS)• Deployed and analyzed the organization’s first 360-Degree Feedback Survey• Increased payroll administration efficiency with the proposal, implementation and training for the conversion to web-based electronic pay statements via ADP and ePost
