I manage a community of over 170 cinemas, film festivals and art centres to ensure members are connected, supported and informed to get the most out of membership of Film Hub South West. Responding to the needs of a diverse membership I provide relevant professional development training, networking opportunities and bespoke one-to-one support for creative practitioners and exhibitors, as well as brokering relationships and catalysing collaboration across the network.Managing a pot of funding for audience development activity I support members to access this support, feeding back on proposals and assisting with ideas development as well as coordinating assessment of applications and leading on decision-making.I lead on all aspects of Film Hub administration, finance and budgets and project reporting and evaluation as well as feeding into future planning.Working alongside the Communications Assistant I lead on the comms strategy for the Film Hub and the content and design of the Film Hub website, newsletter and social media output.I liaise with a variety of different partner organisations and employ freelance contractors to deliver sector development initiatives.

The Film Hub South West and West Midlands is a network of cinemas, cross art venues and festivals that share a commitment to enhancing the opportunities for people to engage with world cinema in all its diversity and to developing the cinema sector across the regions and beyond. My role is to coordinate activity within the South West and West Midlands region and develop and support Hub members through a suite of bespoke training, networking and professional development opportunities. I am the primary point of contact for Hub members and manage the day-to-day operations of the Hub, including all administration and financial management and reporting to Funders.

From starting out as Festival Assistant in 2009 I was promoted year-on-year until becoming the Director of the Festival in 2012, responsible for the design and delivery of the Cornwall Film Festival (a registered charity) and a programme of additional screenings and workshops throughout the year.Duties included• All administration and finance management for the Charity, including all issues of compliance with Companies House and the Charity Commission.• Raising funds and sponsorship for the 2012 and 2013 Cornwall Film Festivals and additional events.• Managing all marketing and publicity for festival events and initiating a re-brand with new logo and design: writing press releases and copy, liaising with the press, growing the festival’s online social media presence and organising radio interviews and TV news coverage.• Developing partnerships with venues, other festivals and arts organisations to increase awareness of CFF and further support for Cornwall’s film sector.• Organising and minute-taking for all festival board and advisory-committee meetings.• Training and managing freelance staff, interns and festival volunteers.• Programming all CFF events and managing logistics, including booking guest speakers, organising travel and accommodation and negotiating rates.• Consulting and liaising with key stakeholders.• Health and safety adherence and compliance with equal opportunities and child protection policies.• Collating audience feedback and evaluation data and reporting to funders.

Helping rural communities to establish film clubs for their local audience. This project has helped to set up 6 new sustainable and well attended film clubs across Cornwall and is still working to develop additional film clubs in areas of low film and cultural provision.

Organising and running a young person's film festival for school and college aged young people in Cornwall. Screen Actions is a one day Free event with young person's films, workshops, talks and industry feedback.
