I have always been an active individual, fascinated with health and human movement. My interests in medicine and therapeutic rehabilitation continued to progress as I moved through high school and into college where I found the field of Kinesiology. After a severe knee injury that abruptly took my passion of running from me for a summer, I experienced firsthand what the wonders of therapy could provide. With persistent hard work, I was able to slowly restore what I had been robbed of, and with that, sparked an interested in the profession. As my senior year in college comes to a close, I look back at that injury and realize it was the starting point to my career; an unfortunate instance that, fortunately, led me to where I am today. As a student now pursuing Occupational Therapy, my classroom-based knowledge and hands on experiences have solidified that this profession is my perfect fit. My mission as a future therapist will be to continually practice the utmost forms of rehabilitation and health care to all patients and their unique cases, while also remaining objective when necessary and maintaining appropriate rehabilitation protocol during each patient's recovery to full-functioning independence and quality of life.
