As a Development Planning Technician I help coordinate/keep the flow of all drilling activities from start to finish. I am fortunate to work with such a great group of people that allow me to learn so much more about our industry. I get to be involved in almost every aspect of new development...from acquiring land to constructing the well pad I am there to help keep the process moving forward. Community Relations is another passion and job function of mine. I believe in investing our dollars in the areas we live, work, and play. I work closely with BP's Communications and External Affairs group to oversee our local funding and partnerships. I also oversee our Community Advisory Panel (CAP) where community members meet monthly to obtain a better understanding about our industry. Internal communications is a big portion of my job which include BPTV, Town Halls, and running our Citizen Action Program.For Damage Prevention and Public Awareness I find or create ways to educate emergency responders, excavators, home owners and schools about pipeline safety. Emphasizing the importance of calling 811 before any excavation project, no matter how big or small, is a priority of mine.
