• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers in the aerospace and defense industry • Prepare purchase orders, bid specifications, and other documents for items that need repair • Review and analyze assets traveling to and from the end source and to and from the Source of Repair (SOR) • Plan, manage, and coordinate various aspects of logistical support • Execute end-to-end procurement processes, solicit quotes and issue purchase orders, including requisition review, and supplier selection • Handle and respond to customer logistical, technical, and administrative concerns/needs; expeditiously identify and resolve internal and external issues by working collaboratively with Program Managers, Inventory Managers, Financial Managers, Engineers, Equipment Specialist, and other Logistics Managers •Perform various logistical and/or buying functions to execute support between the customer and approved Sources of Supply (SOS) and/or Sources of Repair (SOR) on assigned requirements •Proficient in Quantum Inventory Control by researching NSN/NIIN to monitor stock on hand, bin level AQ, analysis of item usage, current purchase orders, and expected delivery dates • Proficient in Quantum Purchase Management used to identified low/potential stock out items and previous lead time on part orders • Create Sales Orders in Quantum to create Repair Orders; Ensure all pricing and delivery order information is current and accurate • Create Request for Vendor Quotes in Purchase Management based on daily forecasting, consumption, delivery lead time and daily manifest reports • Input pricing quotes received from all sources received to assist in selecting best purchasing opportunities and delivery time • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards • Monitor stock levels, location of parts, quantity of parts on order and estimated delivery dates; give daily status updates on stock on hand and parts on order • Initiate follow-up action to ensure timely delivery of items along with collaborating with sources for expediting deliveries for potential stock out items • Conduct weekly backlog report for past due items and identify backorder items that require attention and possible resourcing for new purchase orders to meet contract requirements • Skilled in the use of LogiQuest and ILS to source for vendors, part numbers, and alternate part numbers
