With a strong background in writing and editing, I have successfully undertaken various freelance projects encompassing marketing packages, article writing, and editing a variety of materials. My editing contracts included manuscript editing for Penguin Publishing Group and independent clients, including nine titles for a New York Times Bestselling Author. I have authored and self-published novel, which has not only provided some valuable insights into the publishing industry but has also strengthened my storytelling abilities. I started this business in 1998 and it has filled gaps in fulltime employment and was my livelihood during two separate two- and three-year periods for which I was my mother’s caregiver during her battles with cancer.

As a skilled writer and marketing professional with a proven track record of success, I have held two roles for Ahern. As Senior Copywriter, I wrote articles, web copy, social media, internal communications, brand guidelines, marketing packages and was Editor-in-Chief of the company's bi-monthly 40-page magazine. In my most recent position as Marketing Manager, I performed the above duties while playing a pivotal role in driving marketing strategies and ensuring the successful completion of projects. Although my position was ultimately eliminated due to outsourcing of the marketing department, I gained valuable experience and achieved consistent recognition for my exceptional performance

As a volunteer for the local chapter, I was responsible for writing and editing the monthly newsletter, as well as writing posts for social media and managing the social media calendar.

During this period I provided fulltime live-in care for my mother who was undergoing cancer treatment.

As head of the editorial team, I played a crucial role in shaping the content of the magazine in closecollaboration with the publisher. In this role, I was responsible for managing writers and photographers,hiring freelancers, editing articles, and conducting preliminary interviews with profile subjects. Additionally, I oversaw the production process and managed circulation. Leveraging my strong organizational and project management skills, I also coordinated the company's participation in expos, conferences, and special events, ensuring successful outcomes. The magazine ceased publication in 2009 due to the real estate crisis and subsequent recession.

As Sales & Marketing Representative, I was responsible for selling advertising pages to local realtors anddelivering exceptional customer service to existing clients. In addition to sales, I actively gathered property data, wrote copy, assigned photography, and oversaw the proofreading process for the publication. I also played a crucial role in coordinating the print schedule to ensure deadlines were met and the publication was delivered on time.
