Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to provide job-embedded professional learning and opportunities for reflection to impact student learning. Work directly with teachers to plan and deliver highly effective first time instruction that provides equity of access for learners. Work with campus and district administrators, as well as other instructional coaches, to support data informed instruction and to research, identify, and foster the use of best instructional practices to meet the needs of learners.

Working as an instructional coach includes being a teacher with both content and instructional expertise particularly in science, as well as facilitating the district's professional development models by demonstrating lessons, observing classroom instruction, and coaching teachers on an individual and group basis. As a coach, I focus on enhancing a teacher's ability to provide instruction that 1) is engaging and meaningful to students, 2) that aligns to the curriculum standards, 3) is academically rigorous, and 4) that builds student understanding and skills. As the instructional coach I work together with administrators and teachers from multiple campuses to design standards-based, engaging, high quality instructional experiences for students.
