As Manager I scheduled myself, the stylists and other staff to ensure the store was always well-covered while staying under our payroll budget. I made sure that the stylists and floor staff were up-to-date on the latest hair trends and product changes. This included monthly videos and written tests. Another aspect of the job was the monthly floor changes including product movements, signage changes, etc. I attended monthly manager meetings to get the latest reports of how the store and company were doing, what the next month's goals were, and additional training.

I was the sole Visual Merchandiser for the Irving, TX store which was over 200,000sqft. I kept track of the posters and signage and changed it out as needed. I kept a large binder with every brand's merchandising plan and executed each one when needed with help of the department staff. I dressed the appropriate mannequins in coordination with the plans, and in the "open areas" developed my own presentations. When new product would be put out, I made sure that it was done correctly. I walked the store each morning to ensure that the store was at its best visually. When new staff was hired, I had one day of their week-long training where I trained them on best visual practices and how to read the merchandising plans.
