As the top business editor at Reuters, Tiffany is in charge of the global reporting teams covering companies, finance, markets, commodities and energy.

Based in New York, Tiffany runs the global production desks at Reuters for text editing, graphics, dotcom and social media.

Tiffany is responsible for providing leadership and editorial direction across the United States, Canada and Latin America.

Based in New York, Tiffany is the managing editor for news in the Americas for Reuters. She helps set the news agenda every day, develops coverage strategies and priorities, and has oversight of the two main editing desks in the region: the Americas desk, which handles the biggest spot news stories of the day, and the Top News editing team, which steers the most distinctive enterprise stories.

As deputy regional editor for the Americas, Tiffany supervised a team of about 40 copy editors, ran daily news-planning meetings, and helped to set editorial priorities.

One of three Front Page editors in the United States, Tiffany edited many of the biggest stories of the year. She helped guide Reuters coverage of a wide range of stories, from cyber attacks and the fallout from the Edward Snowden leaks to big corporate shake-ups and the Quebec train derailment disaster.

Tiffany ran corporate news coverage in the Americas, coordinating a virtual team of more than 100 journalists from Los Angeles to Toronto. Based in New York, she commissioned and edited stories on some of the highest-profile companies in the world, from Goldman Sachs to Exxon Mobil, Apple to Google, General Electric to Wal-Mart.

Tiffany helped drive coverage of top stories such as M&A deals, corporate results, smart money packages, and enterprise reporting. She supervised specialist editors and worked directly with reporters across the newsroom to elevate reporting, writing and editing standards. As the deputy editor for Companies, Tiffany produced daily and weekly planners and helped set coverage priorities.

Tiffany managed 15 reporters in the United States, including seven in New York and the rest on the west coast. Under her leadership, the Tech, Media & Telecoms reporting team produced exclusive and insightful stories about such companies as Microsoft, Google, Apple, Cisco, News Corp and AT&T. The team’s coverage of Microsoft’s failed pursuit of Yahoo won an award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) in 2008.

Tiffany ran the Taiwan bureau, which comprised about 30 journalists including 12 text reporters, two photographers, and Chinese Language News Service staff. She directed coverage of Taiwan’s 2004 presidential election, the outbreak of SARS, thorny political relations with China, the economy, and flagship companies in technology, finance and manufacturing. Under her leadership, Taiwani was one of Reuters’ top-performing bureaus in terms of meeting global editorial targets on speed and accuracy.

Tiffany led a team of 12 text journalists to report on China’s rapidly developing stock, foreign exchange, commodities and corporate markets. She expanded the bureau's coverage of the Shanghai stock market and listed companies, analysed sweeping policy reforms and their effects on different sectors of the economy, such as the opening of the formerly foreigners-only B share markets to Chinese investors. She reported on the financial and auto sectors, and how foreign rivals jostled for market share as Beijing’s membership in the World Trade Organisation ushered in gradual market liberalization.

Tiffany reported on the Hong Kong economy's painful recovery from the 1997 Asian financial crisis, analysing economic indicators, interest rates, fiscal and monetary policy, and government budgets. In addition to daily market reports, she wrote about policy changes by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and their effects on the Hong Kong dollar peg. Tiffany also wrote about the Greater China economy, breaking news on developments in the GITIC bankruptcy in China, the restructuring of Chinese trusts and state-owned enterprises, and how it affected investors’ assessment of China and Hong Kong credit risk.

Tiffany reported on the Asian debt markets for a weekly specialist newsletter for banks. The instruments she covered include syndicated term loans, revolving credits, guarantee facilities, project finance, bonds, FRNs and FRCDs. She was responsible for Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Philippines and South Korea.
