It was the winter of 2012 where founder, Tiffany Dessa had delivered her twin girls Olivia & Abigail 4 months early, at 23 weeks gestation. Both weighing under a pound and given only a 5% chance of surviving, only one twin ended up beating those odds, tragically. With the loss of her daughter, and the unknown of her other, Tiffany threw herself into fashion to deal with her loss. She would make hard-to-find preemie clothes for Olivia and dress her up every day taking lots of pictures during her stay in the NICU. Liv was the talk of the small baby unit. She was the tiniest baby there, and had the hardest journey, but that didn't stop Tiffany from keeping her little diva fashionable. After a very long, and traumatic 5 month NICU stay, Olivia finally graduated from CHOC Childrens NICU and went home where she had always belonged. The first 6 months were tough. Weeks filled with more surgeries, specialty visits, routine blood work, cancer scares, and every thing bad you could possibly imagine, but she made it! With her twin angel Abigail looking over her, she is defying odds every single day that has been medically placed against her & is now the face of LMD! This brand is a testimony of their story. - Manages and oversees all areas of operations, development, production, customer service, sales, public relations, advertising, etc.- Manages the product development cycle (e.g., timelines, pricing, vendor selection domestically and overseas).- Communicates creative direction, timelines and pricing to the team, including Account Management, Marketing, Business Development and Purchasing.- Responsible for the complete view, understanding and management of the product from concept to production.- Responsible for pricing sheet, the balance between design vs. cost, vendor timelines and “buy-in” and coordination with Account Management. - Develops new vendor relationships in conjunction with Purchasing and seeks new opportunities to enhance Kelly Nishimoto's design capabilities.- Stays abreast or ahead of new trends, market opportunities, and developments in components, techniques, fashion, etc.- Serves as the voice for “the product” with key client contacts explaining the inspiration and comparing and contrasting the various design alternatives, as appropriate.- Executes against the creative brief and manages customer expectations for quality, pricing and timing.- Coordinates with Operations/Sourcing on strategy to stay current and relevant in design capabilities and techniques, while ensuring the reliability and timeliness of vendors.- Assists Marketing and Account Management in the creative execution of marketing messages.- Collaborates with Senior Management to manage relationships with private labels.

- Collaborated with the design team, and worked alongside outside contractors, to coordinate all sample development, for five seasonal collections, of the Geren Ford sale and press samples.- Directed all fabric, trim, and hardware sourcing, and development, from European, Japanese, and locally based mills. - Translated direction to technical design to ensure grasp of design aesthetic, and fit specifications, including pattern revisions for all proto-samples.- Administered purchase orders in Apparel Magic, and reconciled all development contractor invoices.- Created in Excel all sample spec sheets, and work orders for all outside contractor work.- Organized the sample room, ensuring appropriate delivery of samples to showrooms in L.A and N.Y. - Arranged the production of all promo & lookbook shoots, ensuring prompt execution on set.
