I worked in the non profit NGO world for 12 years (in Brazil with donors in both the USA and Brazil). Co-founded one for street child prevention and then founded a non-profit wedding dress rental one to fund it. I have experience managing both paid staff and volunteers. I have written training manuals and conducted training seminars. I have sales, customer service, fund raising and a few years of teaching experience. I have worked with youth of all ages and socio-economic levels. For the past 10 years or so I have worked part time jobs here and there due to family demands. I have taught in schools, worked in restaurants and coffee shops, in retail and as an administrative assistant. Now as an empty nester am ready to get back into the workforce full time and make a difference.I am passionate about all social justice issues, racial justice in particular, addressing climate change, eliminating poverty and creating shared economic prosperity, building strong public schools and supporting the arts. I love to organize in every sense of the word and I love design of all kinds.
