One of my first projects was to create and implement an on-boarding process for newly admitted graduate students, approximately 70 each year, to connect with them from acceptance through orientation, resulting in a 10% and 12% increase in our yield. I also designed and facilitated the first department-wide new graduate student orientation program to provide information about adjusting to graduate school, university policies and my role as their support person. My major responsibilities include identifying gaps in student information delivery and designing workshops to address these gaps, analyzing admissions data to implement proactive outreach and recruitment for prospective students and coaching 150+ students to successful degree completion.
