My favorite part has always been making the offer! Not knowing how a person was going to react, but knowing I was a part of a life changing event was amazing to me. Now my passion is focused on leading and developing teams. Having the opportunity to positively impact someone's career is a challenge I do not take lightly.I have been in HR and Talent Acquisition for over seventeen years and I have enjoyed being a part of the changes as the industries have evolved. I have made cold calls, placed newspaper ads, networked at a variety of events, and now I utilize all of the available social media tools to cast my net and I must say, it has all been amazing. I meet new people every day and they all have similar interests, wants and needs. They are looking for a position that will allow them to utilize their skills as well as grow and enhance their career. My method consists of sourcing and identifying talent through a variety of ways: social networks, career fairs, job boards, referrals or just meeting people out and about and connecting through spontaneous conversation. By connecting, I mean getting to know them and listening to their wants and needs. In order for the placement to be just right, it has to be a good fit for us and the candidate. I believe taking the time to build the relationship is beneficial in making the right placement verses just filling a position. Usually by the end of a full recruiting cycle, I not only know the candidates phone number by heart, I know their stories and passions as well. It is a huge compliment to me to get to know so many amazing people in efforts to assist them in their career search.
