Helped build a large-format 3D printer featuring a one-cubic-meter build volume; was in charge of wiring and printer calibration. Conducted research on plastics to assess their printability and recyclability. Undertook a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study, comparing conventional and additive manufacturing methods for chairs as part of my master's thesis.

Conducted research to optimize parameters for a novel portable ballast water treatment process. Explored the implementation of this solution in ports through market research and stakeholder interviews. Translated technical product specifications into value propositions for the commercialization team.

Conducted Zoom interviews with fashion brand owners to gather primary data and researched industry trends from secondary sources. Created proof of concept and conducted feasibility tests for our novel dyeing process and supervised a team of student interns in related research areas of structural color and biomimicry. Discussed technical specifications with potential suppliers. Wrote proposals to secure funding from sources including VentureWell E-Team grant, UC Big Ideas, and UCSD Triton Entrepreneur Night.

I faced many hurdles in organizing my semester abroad in New Zealand as a STEM student, so when I returned, I wanted to make the process easier for other STEM students. Expanded our outreach to engineering students by coordinating brief class presentations with professors, reaching over 1,400 engineering first-years. Developed major-specific guides to facilitate study abroad choices for STEM students. Collaborated with fellow student assistants to conduct on-demand workshops during campus events. Contributed to social media campaigns through blog and Instagram posts. Managed front desk operations during walk-in hours, offering support in scheduling appointments with study abroad advisors and providing peer advisory services to STEM students.

Analyzed microbead compositions and properties, conducting interviews with industry experts to explore microbead applications in various fields, including drug delivery, wound care, and agriculture. Presented three potential commercial applications for a company's biodegradable microbeads technology.

Supported researchers in developing an augmented reality app to enhance students' understanding of material science concepts. Modeled crystal structures using SolidWorks and learned Unity to dynamically demonstrate the modeled atom arrangements. The app enabled students to engage with crystal structures by scanning specific image markers corresponding to the elements.

Managed a weekly student newsletter promoting personal and professional development opportunities at UCSD. Coordinated logistics with workshop presenters, including tech setup and cleanup assistance. Maintained attendance records for workshops with 600+ students using Excel spreadsheets.
